MPEL’s Asset Management proficiency focuses on the required safeguard of existing physical assets as well as on the processes required to improve efficient and effective asset maintenance pursuing to attain the stakeholder’s expected Life Cycle, including renewal of the expired asset or part(s) thereof. 


MPEL recognizes the importance and benefits for their Clients of extended life cycles and, whenever required, endeavors therefore to centre their attention on an overall long term cost effective solution for system/business in operations, by extending their competencies in terms of Procurement planning and LCC studies, and/or in terms of intrinsic quality management through specific RAMS assessments, and/or by looking into the service quality and maintenance efficiency without forgetting to address the associated RISKs.  “Manage in a different way” - tools exist, these are “the state of the art” in the private transportation sector and encompass standards references such as PAS 55 (distributed by BSI), or the “Macro Asset Management” (a project financed by the European community).
